Attitude in Psychology


Attitude Definition

Psychologists defines attitude  in such a way that "Attitude is a learned tendency to evaluate things in a certain way. This can include evaluations of people, events or objects.'' 
Evaluation's are may be positive or negative.

Psychologists suggest's that there are many different components that make attitude.

  1. An Emotional Component
  2. A Cognitive Component
  3. A Behavioral Component
Attitudes may be be explicit and implicit.
Explicit attitudes are those that we are consciously aware.
Implicit attitudes are unconscious.
